I put a 4 speed Borg-Warner T10 in my 1966 Mustang with a 200 cubic inch 6 cylinder. The guy at the Ford parts counter said I couldn’t do it. I had a bell housing from an early 60s Ford Econoline van that had the same bolt pattern. Here’s what I did:
1) 1965 Ford Falcon flywheel which is recessed
2) 1965 Mustang clutch and pressure plate
3) throw out bearing rod from a Ford pickup cut down to size
4) had a machine shop shave down my pilot bearing
5) drive shaft from a 1967 Mustang six cylinder
6) I had to buy a Hurst shifter specifically for the T10
