The Magic Motor – Post 4

A wise man told me some of his favorite moments were when he slipped away to the garage for a few minutes to work on his projects. I totally understand that and appreciate having a workshop in the basement. Projects can wait there until I have time. Sometimes I’ll get up very early before the rest of the family and do the quiet work.

The mid section of the Magic Motor sat on the floor for a bit. I tried to attach it to a vice on the bench but it was too high to work on.

I dropped it on a motor hauler with wheels and began sanding it with scotch-brite. I’ve got a few different coarse options. I also tried some Steele wool and had to use something more aggressive. Overall it’s going to take some time. I’ll look for a warm day to take it outside and wet sand it.
