Sunbeam value

A Sunbeam Alpine was the basis of the legendary Sunbeam Tiger that Carrol Shelby and Ken Miles developed. Today an Alpine with matching part numbers will be worth 3 times the amount of a non-original drivetrain. When the Tiger was developed it was built with a 260 ci V8. Often they were replaced with 289 and 302 engines. Since the date code of a 260 could be many months off from the build date of a Tiger, one could reasonably find a date code correct engine and increase the value. Of course the purist would validate this, what about a Mustang. There have been stories of the motor being removed and someone finding it later through word of mouth and returning it to the car. That’s our mission…matching people who have kept the original motor or transmission for your car. It may take years to find, but if you own a classic for 20 years, you may just come across your original matching part numbers.
